THE PROOF IS IN THE PROGRESS: BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS

I haven't shared this with many people...

Perhaps it's because I'm afraid people will look at me differently when they see how big I really was.  Or perhaps I'm just vain and since I've always hidden behind a girdle, I never really realized how unhealthy I was...

until now.

That top left photo is me, from the side view.  That was taken when my youngest child was a few months old.  In that photo, I tipped the scale at just over 300 pounds.

There.  I said it.  That thing I never thought I'd ever say out loud (or in black and white).

The truth.

The photo below that is me, this past May at my children's Baptism.  In that photo, I was hovering somewhere between 250-260 pounds.

Sexy, I know.

The other two photos were taken of me- yesterday.  I asked my husband to snap a couple of photos so I could create an accurate portrayal of where I was versus where I am.

And I'm not sharing these for verbal affirmation, or feedback.   I'm sharing them so you realize that even though I'm still not completely healthy, and even though it's taking longer than I'd like, there's definitely progress.

The proof is definitely in the photos.

So be encouraged.  The best things in life take time, and effort- and you have to start somewhere.

It hasn't been easy, and I know I'm not "there" yet, but looking at these photos really motivated me by reminding me that it's not merely that I CAN do this- it's that I AM doing this.

In this together,

The Fat Girl,
Slim.
